Grand Street Capital Management was founded in 2009 by its owner, Perry T. Cabean and incorporated as a Limited Liability Corporation in 2014.  2009 was a very turbulent time for the capital markets.  The U.S. stock market had lost more than 40% of its market value over a two year period, the mortgage industry had crashed and led to the failure or re-organization of several of the country’s storied banks and financial institutions.  Fear and declines in asset values had taken their toll on the public who began to seek answers.  Mr. Cabean had enjoyed  a successful career as a portfolio manager and as a financial advisor and was prepared to help his clients through the downturn.  Mr. Cabean saw the need for an investment company that placed the needs of its clients first while carefully considering the changing economic landscape.  Thus, Grand Street Capital Management, L.L.C. was created to help its clients navigate through those turbulent times.
